I was lucky enough to travel all they way over to LA to stay in Venice for a week of fun around the time of Vidcon this summer. I spend a vast majority of my time at home researching photographic bodies of work from American suburbs, so it was pretty much a dream come true to be able to just skate around the city and take some pictures.
I shot the entire trip on my Mamiya 7 using a 65mm lens, and a Contax T2. Most of the film I used was Portra 400 over exposed by 1 stop and metering for the shadows.
In some locations you just can’t go wrong.
